What We Believe

  • Verbal inspiration of the accepted Canon of the sacred scriptures as originally given (2 Tim 3:16-17)
  • In the eternal existence of the one true God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1Tim 3:16, Matthew 28:19)
  • The creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis: his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness (Rom 5:12)
  • The Saviour of men, the Lord Jesus Christ conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, begotten of the Father, very God and very man (1Tim 2:5)
  • The Gospel of the Grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third (3rd) day for our justification (1 Cor 15:3-4)
  • The salvation of Sinners by grace alone, through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary, by which we secure remission of sins (Eph 2:8-9; Titus 2:11-14)
  • The bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His enthronement, His personal coming for the Church (as in 1 Thess 4:13-18) and return with the Church at the close of the Great Tribulation to set up His Millennial reign of 1000 years on earth according to Rev 20:1-7.
  • Water Baptism of believers by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus (Matt 28:19; fulfilled Acts 2:37-39)
  • The Baptism with the Holy Spirit as experienced subsequent to Salvation, with the scriptural evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4)
  • The Spirit-filled life, as a life of separation from the world, and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith (2 Cor 6:14-18). Chastisement follows disobedience – and loss of rewards, not a loss of salvation (Heb 12:5-11; 1 Cor 3:15)
  • The Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Cor 12-14, being exercised and practiced as manifest in the early Church
  • The Healing of the body by Divine Power, through the atonement in its many aspects as practiced by the early Church (Isa 53:4-6; Matt 8:17; 1 Pet 2:24; Jas 5:14)
  • The Lord’s memorial, commonly called the Supper for believers (1 Cor 11). We believe in con-substantiation. (Presence of Christ in the emblems of communion, by Spirit, not in literal form)
  • The Eternal Life of the believer and the Eternal Punishment of Unbelievers in the Lake of Fire (John 5:24; John 10:27-29; Matt 25:41-46; Daniel 12:2; Rev 20:14-15)
  • The Reality and Personality of Satan (1 Peter 5:8)
  • The manifestation of the sons of God and glorification of the body at the translation of the Church and not at any time before (Rom 8:19-23 with 1 John 3:1-3)`
  • We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong exclusive commitment between one man and one woman, who have formalized their marriage with vows
